Bermuda Quadrangle

The Bermuda Quadrangle is a region in the Egyptian Sea.

It is believed to be a square, but satellite images have revealed fluctuations in the area from being only a rhombus to being only a parallelogram.
Year for year, whole cities and civilizations get lost in this mysterious region. Many researchers have tried and failed to uncover the secret behind this strange quadrangle.
Military scientists were the only ones to ever find evidence to where all those missing persons, objects and sandcorns vanished. But their findings had to be kept secret.
Dr. Z had constructed a base here, too. But according to reports of ex-Dr.Z-employees, it vanished shortly after completion.
The Bermuda Quadrangle can be seen quite well from space. But pronloged view of it can result in burning the geometric retinas. This effectively removes ones ability to distinguish any shapes or orientation in a field of vision, although perception of the general proportions of colors remains intact.
