Great Pe'eng

1. Great Pe'ng lies high on a plateau above the forbidding valley of the Ourobourine River (a tributary of the Klood). The only way to reach it from the river is via a narrow and twisting path which makes its way up the sheer cliff-face. This would be All Very Well, were it not for the gaunts which guard the path, rising from their perches at the sight of a stranger t sweep dwn upon their leathery wings, and tear the interloper to shcreds with their wicked teeth.
2. At the centre of the city is the Panopticon, from which the Elder Guardians look out across the world, seeking the far-sighted and the pure fo heart, that they may send messengers to them .. and have them torn to shreds.
