Tokyo

Tokyo is a Mecca for monsters. Godzilla is just one of the species.
Every Monday, a huge space monster invades Tokyo, resulting in the destruction of a lot of buildings. Miraculously, no people ever died from the destruction because all of them manage to escape from the dangerous area. Remember, all Japanese are ninja.
Eventually, the space monster is killed by Ultraman (a friendly humanoid alien that is using a Japanese as its host) using some kind of phase beam. After that, he flies away. The city is completely rebuilt on Tuesday, and people continue to live their lives peacefully until the next Monday.
The name of Tokyo is given by the German Band Tokyo Hotel, and they really suck.
