Very Long Island

Very Long Island is widely belived to be the most egregiously named island in the world, as it is only 4.73 inches long. Formerly owned by one Mr. Peter Little Johnson, who gave it its current name. Mrs. Cathrine Lee Hooker recorded him as once saying "It's longer than Very Long Island, baby!" in a discussion of lengths of various objects. She also records that, while true, the claim turned out to be rather unimpressive.
